Actually the system with version 0.1. The whole construction of this hydroponics setup based on the plastic ventilation pipes with dimensions 100×55 mm. Simply because these pipes are easy to get and relatively cheap. Another one advantage these pipes looks better in comparison with waste-water pipes and produced with wide range of various fittings, reducers etc. The setup was designed with aim to minimise the quantity of additional equipment. This means that all elements necessary for successful work of the setup (light, pump, controller) shall be included into it. Finally I have got the next prototype.
The closed loop design which is made from ventilation pipes 110×55 mm with four 90 degrees elbows. Six holes were cut into the lower pipe for installation of hydroponic pots or blocks of substrate (the grow unit). The upper pipe is includes control and monitoring system (the control unit) – power supply, control board with MCU, feeding pump and 30 Watts LED lamp (with full spectrum) is attached onto the bottom side.
